Mass One Insurance Agency has been
selected for the 2nd consecutive
year to be part of an elite group of
independent insurance agencies around the
United States participating in the
Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of
America (IIABA) “Best Practices” Study
Group.
More than 900 independent agencies
throughout the U.S. were nominated to take
part in the annual study, but only 195
agencies qualified for the honor. To be
chosen, agencies had to be the
top-performing agencies in their revenue
category. The Best Practices Study was
initiated by IIABA in 1993 as the foundation
for efforts to improve agency performance.
The annual survey and study of leading
independent insurance agencies documents the
business practices of these “best” agencies
and urges others to adopt similar practices.
Mass One Insurance Agency was
founded in 1948 and offers products in personal
insurance, commercial property & casualty,
employer sponsored insurance
products/employee benefits, financial
services, and retirement products.

Robin
Sargent of Mass One Insurance Agency
Earns Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
Designation

Certified
Risk Managers
International recently conferred the
designation of Certified Risk Manager
(CRM) on a select number of individuals
who completed the rigorous five-course
program. Robin Sargent of Mass One
Insurance was one of this elite group of
risk management professionals.
To attain the CRM
designation, Robin completed all five
courses in the program and passed
extensive examinations in each of the
following subject areas: Principals of
Risk Management, Analysis of Risk,
Control of Risk, Financing of Risk, and
Practice of Risk Management.
"The CRM designation
recognizes and confirms the higher level
of knowledge and professional
distinction that Robin has achieved in
the field of risk management," stated
William T. Hold, Ph.D., CIC, CPCU, CLU,
President of CRM International.
As of May 2005, fewer
that 1,500 professionals nationwide have
attained this designation.
Robin earned her CIC
(Certified Insurance Councilor)
designation in 1992, and has been with
Mass One Insurance Agency for 28 years.
She lives in Turners Falls with her
husband, Edwin, and family.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION DISPOSAL AND SHREDDING
POLICY |

Mass One has developed a disposal and
shredding policy for our offices. The
objective of the 'Sensitive Information disposal and
Shredding Policy ("Policy") is to protect the
privacy of both our customers confidential
information and our sensitive information as well as
maintaining full compliance with all applicable
legislative and regulatory requirements by managing
the secure collection and shredding of this
information while contributing to protecting the
environment by reducing the amount of our landfill
waste by recycling as much of the shredded sensitive
information as possible.
Policy
Paper
and any other media containing customer information
such as, but not limited to: name, social security
number, account information, address and any related
information especially e-mails, hereafter known as
sensitive information, as well as any sensitive
information relating to our business must be
securely collected and shredded before its final
disposal.
Procedure
-
Employees will separate and dispose all
sensitive information into designated secure
collection containers specifically provided by
the approved secure shredding vendor.
Employees that are uncertain of the
classification of information to be disposed
should dispose of such information into the
secure collection containers to avoid any
opportunity for a potential security breach.

Secure collection containers will be
strategically placed throughout our facility and
serviced on a regular scheduled service
frequency.

Employee and/or departments requiring special
secure collection and shredding services for
large volumes of sensitive information should
contact their manager or the approved secure
shredding vendor to arrange for a special
collection.
